![]() Was a regional Salas Manager for Osborne Computer, the first transportable computer a 25lb behemoth with a 5inch diag screen and two single density floppy drives in a case the size of a sewing machine. The SWTPC didnt have a cool front panel like the Imsai and the Altair did, so I made one for it. Sold the original Apple and many of the defunct brands Its a screen capture of three fully operational emulators, one of the Imsai 8080, one of the Altair 8080, and one of the SWTPC 6809 running FLEX (this last one is software I wrote. Worked on them built them back in the day. He had defected from Hungary flying a MIG into Italy and had to hide his identity for safety. Got TDL s/w with tarbell then in '77 CP/M to run with it. 8080/Z80 based computers, including the Altair-Duino and IMSAI 8080esp. My first was also an IMSAI with a Z80 Cromemco CPU board.īought the kit from Gordon French around '76 or so. Homemade 8MHz Z80 SBC, 128kB banked RAM, RTC, SD (HD emulation), Basic and Forth.
